The Sasquatch is a remarkable creature, native to the Pacific Northwest and therefore more important in Seattle than other parts of the world. They are nine to twelve feet tall, covered in dense hair, ranging in color from red to black to white. They have slab-like teeth, broad mouths, conical heads and characteristic giant feet and hands. Long considered to be dumb beasts, no more intelligent than most great apes, the Salish-Sidhe council has recently granted them sentient status and made them a creature protected under the sentient animal compact of the Treaty of Denver. It is unknown if they can speak human or metahuman language, but they appear to be at least passingly clever and perhaps due for integration in the coming years.
